Le Petit Café is a personal UI/UX design project for an imagined café, created to offer a seamless and visually appealing online ordering experience for coffee and pastries. Inspired by the charm of Parisian cafés, the goal was to craft a sophisticated yet welcoming digital experience that allows users to browse the menu, customize orders, and complete purchases with ease.

The Le Petit Café website is a perfect blend of elegance and functionality, offering users a refined yet effortless way to explore and order from a café’s menu. By focusing on a minimalist yet inviting design, intuitive navigation, and engaging micro-interactions, the platform ensures a seamless user experience that aligns with the cozy and sophisticated essence of a boutique café. Design Approach
Elegant & Minimalist UI: A neutral color palette featuring warm beige and muted browns was chosen to evoke a cozy café ambiance. These tones complement a refined serif font, adding a premium yet inviting feel.
User-Centered Layout: The homepage features high-quality imagery of coffee and pastries, guiding users through a visually rich experience. The design ensures intuitive browsing, with clear categories for drinks and baked goods.
Effortless Navigation & Interactions: A smooth ordering flow was prioritized, with an easy-to-access cart, simple checkout process, and subtle micro-interactions like hover effects and soft transitions to enhance engagement.
Mobile-Friendly Design: Given the importance of accessibility, the interface was optimized for mobile users, ensuring a seamless experience across different devices.
Challenges & Solutions
One challenge was balancing an elegant aesthetic with functionality. To achieve this, I kept the interface clean and structured the user flow intuitively, making the ordering process effortless without compromising the café’s high-end feel. Additionally, designing an inviting visual hierarchy ensured that key elements like CTAs and menu items stood out without overwhelming the layout.
Outcome
The final design successfully captures the essence of a boutique café ordering experience—refined, easy to use, and visually engaging. With a strong focus on usability and aesthetics, the Le Petit Café website offers customers a smooth and delightful way to order their favorite treats.
